Global Warming - Time to take responsibility!!

It is always easy for us to comment on something we have no idea whatsoever about. It has become a habit for people to gibber about stuff that seems cool to be talking about....to have a bloody opinion.
After spending 5 hours in the blazing sun, performing the seemingly laborious task of planting about 40-50 trees, I realised that walking the talk does seem to help in connecting with one's inner self and feel satisfied (apart from the satisfaction of being served a sumptuous and well-earned lunch!!!). I realised it is time to be responsible, to apply one's intellect to some good cause - not only for earning dollars!!
Planting 50 trees basically contributed to offsetting 2 cars off the roads for a whole year!!!

Now that I work in the CBD (Central Business District) in Sydney (where the only possible way to get in is by train/bus!!), it has been a hugely satisfying thought that my carbon footprint has been reduced by about 60%. Buying a mountain bike seems to be the next thing to do so as to reduce my weekend carbon footprint as well.

People in Australia are genuinely concerned about their environment (except for the mothers who still like to drop their kids to school in their smoky LandCruiser or Land Rover or some crap like that!!!). Instead of criticising this minority, have pity on them and do something that is within your own control. No point wasting time over people who themselves are a pile of waste!! Move one folks...move on.
